IPS has over 15 years of experience in sourcing Maintenance, Repair and Operations products for the petrochemical industry.
These services are provided to customers on all five continents. Many customers opt to sign a total procurement services agreement, whereby the project team can take over almost all activities of the customer's purchasing department. Using our logistics' services on an order by order basis, however, is used by customers, who want to use our expertise for their more complex, non-standard requirements

| The IPS Group have experience in all kinds of transportation that is required for projects. These include trucking and rail transportation on land as well as sea freight by either conventional or chartered vessel.
Air freight can also be arranged for special deliveries or for spare parts.Often, a combination of transport methods is necessary to move the goods to job location. IPS has experience with these requirements.
Organising central points of inspection and collection of materials for onward shipment are part of the day to day disciplines covered by the IPS group. Importation of materials and customs clearance into the final country of destination can also be handled by our shipping department. Final deliveries through to job location are also included in the service package that which we offer.

The IPS Group has a department entirely dedicated to overseeing client contract tracking, supplier contacts and deliveries.
A single contact person is assigned to each client in an effort to streamline, to the
greatest extent possible, administrative paperwork while ensuring orders are being filled successfully.This department also provides clients with an up-to-date status report on order progress.

The department is responsible for:
- tracking at the manufacturer to ensure quality and respect of schedules
- equipment preparation and assignment
- inspection coordination
- monitoring of both packaging and branding
- transport (either directly point-to-point or via a logistics platform)
- issuance of transport documents (invoices, packing lists, customs formalities, transport clearances, etc.) and transmission of all payment-related documents.
- customs operations (customs certification) and integrated international transit service.

Procurement

| Whether it is that single item you needed yesterday or your complex request for quotation with technical specifications consisting of over 500 line-items, our engineers will source and find what you or your clients are looking for.
Detailed knowledge of manufacturers capabilities and capacities are an essential element in project work.
The group operates under a system for approved manufacturers (IPS Trade has ISO 9001 certification from QMS) which includes all the recognised first class manufacturers and some who are internationall less well known.
Manufacturers are chosen based on their ability to meet specific contract requirements,in particular technical compliance, quality and delivery performance. The group's independence allows them to select the manufacturers best suited to meet project requirements, to split orders amongst several producers and to combine stock and mill deliveries.

Inspection

Whenever inspection (material, certificates, packing and marking etc.) is required, our quality department coordinates with your assigned inspection-agency.

Shipping documentation
|
|
|
Documentation is critical as most of the materials that we supply form an integral part of structures that often require third party inspection and governmental approvals. Most likely you will need all sorts of documents for financial and logistic purposes. For instance the Certificate of Origin by our local Chamber of Commerce or T1/T2-documents. EX1 documents are made and approved by internet connection with the customs. Also, upon request, we will make them directly accessible to you, ensuring no lose time in waiting for your documentation.
We have selected Adobe Acrobat and its Portable Document Format which allows us to use PDFs from our subsuppliers when available and in other cases scanned paper documents. PDF-files can be read with every standard installation of Windows. However, if missing, the software Acrobat Reader is distributed at no cost from Adobe.

Our project department will make sure all your projects are executed in exact accordance with your project specifications and requirements. You want 70 kilometers of power cable shipped by air-freight? No problem!

QA/QC department

Quality management is an integral part of the IPS Trade organisation. The company has been certified by QMS to ISO 9001.
The Quality Manual and related procedures are working documents familiar at all levels in the company, and constantly reviewed for effectiveness by management. The system is designed to ensure that all customers requirements are met, whilstretaining the ability to act quickly without being stifled by bureaucracy. Decision-making is local but with inbuilt checks and balances to ensure the elimination of errors. The system is regularly reviewed by audit to double check that all is well and to learn from mistakes.
Formal meetings of the directors and management from all parts of the group are held annually to review the company quality objectives and set targets for the future as well as the instigation of preventive action, so that the group makes year on year improvements to its service to clients.
The Quality Manager reports directly to the Managing Director and is not constrained by local management. Thus, he is able to report objectively on problems and ensure that corrective action is both prompt and effective.The Quality Manager and the Managing Director are based in the Netherlands but are contactable at any time.
